From January 1, 2019, there will be no total disconnection of devices, the ortcom.kz correspondent reports.
The Central Communications Service told about what will happen to the phones from January 1, 2019.
“From January 1, there will be no total disconnection of subscriber devices; the new rules do not provide for total disconnection of subscriber devices. On this date, the SIM card that is installed in the device will automatically bind. If up to this point the user does not have the opportunity to clarify information about himself and update the data, then the device will become attached to this SIM card, ”said the acting official. Chairman of the Telecommunications Committee of the MIC RK, Vitaly Yaroshenko, in the Central Communications Service.
According to the representative of the MIC of the RK, subscriber devices of cellular communication, discussed in the network of the cellular operator until January 1, 2019, are automatically registered by him in the local system and transferred to the identification code database.
“As for unregistered SIM cards, in fact, the obligation to register SIM cards arose much earlier. If not mistaken, about 5 years ago. Cellular operators are forbidden to serve SIM cards that are not registered to anyone. Therefore, we, telecom operators, have all SIM cards registered for at least someone, ”the speaker said.
“They may be registered incorrectly. You use a SIM card, although you know that it is not registered to you, but you do not even know who it is registered to. Therefore, now the operators are asking you to update the data, because on the SIM card there will be a device binding. You risk losing the device, ”Vitaly Yaroshenko continued.
He also said that for registration it is not necessary to come to the offices of operators. There are various ways.
At the same time, he drew the attention of the subscriber to the need for independent verification of the correctness of the registration of the subscriber device.
“The validation of the registration of the subscriber device can be verified using the command \ * 835 # or in the Personal Account,” the speaker concluded.
