The composition of the Council of Young Scientists will be formed and approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, taking into account the recommendations of the Councils of young scientists of scientific organizations, higher educational institutions and candidates from public associations of young scientists.
The Council will be formed in a balanced way, on representation of both organizations and scientific fields. Moreover, in addition to age and an academic degree, there are very high requirements for members: the Hirsch Index, international experience, experience in managing research projects, implemented scientific results.
“An important distinction of the Council created is that through their functions, young scientists will be able to develop and recommend real solutions. For example, such as participation in the development and coordination of regulations affecting the activities of young scientists, the development of recommendations for policies in the field of training and professional development of young scientists, recommendations on incentives and others. Thus, it is not just important for us to have direct contact and hear the proposals of young scientists on an ongoing basis, but also to involve them in the development of solutions. Minister Ye.K.Sagadiyev had previously given the relevant instructions. And now we have such a mechanism, ”said Askhat Aymagambetov.
