The premiere of the film “16 Days of December”, specially prepared for Independence Day TV channel, took place on Qazaqstan TV channel, reports ortcom.kz referring to [Kazpravda.kz] (https://www.kazpravda.kz/).

In a special project headed by the Minister of Culture and Information Dauren Abaev, the chronicle of December 1991 was restored on the basis of archival materials and documents of those days that preceded the attainment and proclamation of Independence by Kazakhstan.    In an exclusive interview, Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev spoke about relations with the top leadership of the USSR and other Soviet republics, shared memories of the ups and downs of key events of that period, spoke about the complex tasks of socio-economic and domestic policy that faced Kazakhstan.    The film was authored by Yerlan Karin, the director is Dmitry Bogomolov and the editing director is Aizatulla Hussein.
