The Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the plenary session adopted the Law “On ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the region of the junction point of the state borders of three states,” reports ortcom.kz with reference to the MIA “Kazinform”

“In accordance with the agreement, the junction point of the state borders of the three states is located in the area of the Ustyurt Plateau. The contract is indefinite and cannot be denounced. The ratification and entry into force of the treaty will contribute to the completion of the process of delimitation of the state border of Kazakhstan with Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan; elimination of possible prerequisites for the emergence of territorial disputes in the area of the junction point; strengthening the national security of the country, ”said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kairat Abdrakhmanov, introducing the bill. The Minister noted that this agreement is the latest document that fully completes the delimitation of the state border of Kazakhstan.
