Research works are continuing in Atyrau to study the causes of fish stasis in the Ural River, reports the Regional Communications Service of the Atyrau Region.

From the beginning of December there were recorded facts of fish blockage on the Ural River. On December 10, a meeting of the interdepartmental commission was held in the regional akimat.

Currently 110 units of dead fish are registered, the rest of the fish is in serious condition.

As it was announced, the specialists of the public health department conducted a laboratory analysis, which showed that the composition of the water is clean and there is no danger to the life of the population.

“The situation is under control. The incident occurred only in the city of Atyrau, this was not recorded in the areas. The obtained samples were checked. The above mentioned event will not harm the health of the population, ”said Temirbek Musagaliyev, head of the public health department of the Atyrau region.

At the meeting of the commission, Nurlan Nogayev gave a number of specific instructions to the authorized bodies.

“The problem must be solved urgently. Use all the features that you consider necessary to determine the exact cause of death of the fish. All the forces of the authorized bodies should be sent to prevent new possible facts of fish blockage, ”the oblast akim said.

Recall that the interdepartmental commission was established at the Atyrau regional territorial inspection of forestry and wildlife. The commission included representatives of the regional fisheries department, the environmental prosecutor's office, the department of ecology, the Kazakh Research Institute of Fisheries, as well as representatives of the Emergency Department, the territorial inspection of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee, and the public health department.

During the study, chemical water samples were taken for laboratory tests.
